Woodstock Agricultural Society is pleased to say that we are moving on with the times, and you may now register your entries online on Assist Expo.

You can still register for the holiday using paper registration forms, which are available at the office in the Oxford Auditorium, Monday through Friday, from noon to 4 p.m. Please note that you will need paper entry tags for your exhibits, regardless of how you register.

Rules and Regulations

Entries
  • Entry forms are available at the office in the Oxford Auditorium Monday to Friday from Noon to 4 pm and also at the Fair table at Saturday markets from 7 am to 12 pm. Entry forms must be completed for all entries when you register or enter your exhibits. *Note deadlines under each section.* 
  • See each section for further regulations and entry fees. 
  • All entries must be made in the name of the owner of the exhibit. 
Livestock
  • Water for livestock will be provided under the supervision of the Superintendent or Director in charge. No bedding is provided. 
  • No smoking will be allowed in any of our buildings. We are a non-smoking facility. 
  • NOTE: under the Health Promotion and Protection Act (HPPA) all cattle, horses and sheep that come into direct contact with members of the general public must be immunized against rabies. All dogs, cats and ferrets over 3 months of age must be immunized against rabies. 

Judges and Judging
  • Judges shall, in all cases, withhold premiums where the animal or article is not worthy, even though there may be no competition. Judges may then award second or third premiums where they consider the animal or article below proper standard of excellence. The decision of the judge is final, as to the awarding of prizing, no protest shall be allowed.
  • The exhibitor must display the entry ticket issued by the fair office. No one shall be allowed to influence the judge before or during the judging of a class. 
  • No animal will be allowed to compete in more than one class or section except otherwise specified in this prize list. However, exhibitors may exhibit a number of animals and receive as many prizes as may have been awarded for different animals in the same class. 
  • No one may enter more than one exhibit in any single section in Flower and Vegetable classes or Home Craft classes. 
  • No one shall use improper language or conduct in the presence of a judge or show official. 
  • In no case shall anyone act as judge of his/her own property. 
Prizes
  • If an animal is taken from the grounds before the time specified, the exhibitor of the same shall not be entitled to any prize which may have been awarded. 
  • No prizes shall be paid in cash except for youth classes and the Pet Show. Each section will pay prize winnings by cheque within a reasonable time after the fair 
Power of Society
  • All exhibits shall be under the control and direction of the Society but solely at the risk of the exhibitor. The Society will not be responsible for damage, injury, loss, or theft of any exhibit, regardless of the cause of such damage, injury or theft. Each exhibitor will be solely responsible for any article exhibited by him/her and shall indemnify the Society against all legal or other proceedings in regard thereto. 
  • No person shall be allowed to drive or ride horses on the show grounds faster than a walk, except within the show ring, under penalty of immediate removal from the Fairgrounds. 
  • The enforcement of the rules and regulations shall be within the powers of the Director in charge. Penalties of any breach shall be determined by the Board of Directors. 
  • Should any dispute or question arise not provided for in the rules and regulations, the decision of the Board of Directors shall be final. In case of error in the printing of this prize list, the Directors have the power to rectify same. 
  • If errors or a misprint occurs, please excuse them and check with the convenor if necessary.

General Rules
  • Society shall refer to The Woodstock Agricultural Society. 
  • Fair shall refer to the Woodstock Fair conducted by The Woodstock Agricultural Society. 
  • Member shall refer to a member of the Society. 
  • Director shall refer to the Director of the Society. 
  • Exhibitor(s) shall refer to a person(s) entering a class listed in the fair prize list where prize money may be awarded. 
Membership
  • Any person shall be eligible to become a member of the Society upon payment of an annual fee of $10.00. Memberships may be purchased up to August 20th, 2025 

  • All fair exhibitors (excluding 4H members and all youth under the age of 18) MUST BECOME A MEMBER OF THE SOCIETY.
