Rules and Regulations:

• Entries and fee may accompany you at the door on Thursday August 20th, 2026, between 8 -11am. ENTRY FEES AT THE DOOR APPLY TO THESE 4-H ENTRY CLASSES ONLY!!!!

• Entries to be delivered to Oxford Auditorium at the Woodstock Fair, 875 Nellis Street. Entrance will be at the back of the building.

• Exhibitors will be required to pay a fee of $5.00 and can enter as many classes as they wish. Exhibitors must be current paid youth participants of Oxford County 4-H for 2026.

• Each Exhibitor will be limited to one entry in each class.

• Exhibitors will exhibit their own projects according to the 4-H Motto “LEARN TO DO BY DOING”. Item must be made by the 4-H youth participant only.

• If there are more than 6 entries in the class it will be split into Clover Buds (6-8), Jr. (9-14) and Sr. (15-21), with the exception of the 4-H Exhibits and the Special Class, which will be judged as an entire class with no divisions.

• Exhibits must be worthy to be awarded prize money at the discretion of the judge.

• Entries must be at the fairgrounds between 8am and 11am Thursday August 20th, 2026, and must be removed between 2:00pm and 2:30pm on Monday August 24th, 2026.

Piece of art featuring the colour green. Ideas – painting, fabric article, plant. Use your creativity.

Prize money: 1st - $15.00 / 2nd - $12.00 / 3rd - $10.00 / 4th - $8.00 / 5th - $5.00

All remaining entries - $3.00

Class #1

4-H Exhibits (Not previously exhibited, limit of one per project per club or opportunity) These 3-sided display board exhibits are to depict club activities, projects or opportunities (e.g. Discovery Days, Youth Adventure Camp, Future Leaders in Action, Provincial Leadership Camp, GFTG)

**Prize money: 1st - $20 / 2nd - $15 / 3rd - $12

All remaining entries - $10

Class #2

Colouring Page, your choice

Class #3

Handmade craft using a machine, any item made using a machine made by the exhibitor, examples - sewing, woodworking, welder etc., not previously shown at the Fair.

Class #4

Holiday Craft, any item using any medium, depicting a holiday (Valentines, St Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.).

Class #5

Four (4) Photos, must be related or tell a story. Each picture size 4” x 6”, mounted together on one black background, minimum border to be 2 cm. Pictures must be taken by exhibitor. No words or captions.

Class #6

Handmade Craft not using a machine, any handmade item made by exhibitor not using a machine, examples - knitting, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint etc., not previously shown at the Fair.

Class #7

Paper Craft, using any paper medium made by exhibitor, examples - scrapbook page, origami, puppet, cards.

Class #8

Recycled/re-purposed craft, item made from recycled/re-purposed materials, made by exhibitor, not previously shown at Fair.

Class #9

Animal Care Poster, using a full sheet of Bristol board, outline how to care for an animal, including housing, nutrition, health, etc.

Class #10

Chewy Maple Cookies, three cookies on a disposable plate in a Ziploc bag,

1 cup packed brown sugar

1⁄2 cup shortening

1⁄2 cup real maple syrup

1 egg

1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1⁄2 teaspoon salt

1 cup flaked coconut

1. Preheat the oven to 375oF (190oC). Put parchment paper on baking sheets.

2. In a mixing bowl, beat together brown sugar and shortening until fluffy. Mix in maple syrup, egg, and vanilla until well combined.

3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture a little at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in coconut.

4. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto the prepared baking sheets.

5. Bake in the preheated oven until edges are set, 10 to 12 minutes.

Classes #2 through to #10 prize money:

1st - $10.00 / 2nd - $8.00 / 3rd - $5.00

All remaining entries $3.00.

Woodstock Agricultural Society is pleased to say that we are moving on with the times, and you may now register your entries online on Assist Expo.

Go to Assist Expo to create a new account.

You can still register using paper registration forms, which are available at the office in the Oxford Auditorium, Monday to Thursday from 9AM to 4:30PM. Please note that you will need paper entry tags for your exhibits, regardless of how you register.
