Rules and Regulations:

• Entries and fee may accompany you at the door on Thursday August 21, 2025, between 8-11am. ENTRY FEES AT THE DOOR APPLY TO THESE 4-H ENTRY CLASSES ONLY!!!!

• Entries to be delivered to Oxford Auditorium at the Woodstock Fair, 875 Nellis Street. Entrance will be at the back of the building.

• Exhibitors will be required to pay a fee of$5.00 and can enter as many classes as they wish. Exhibitors must be current paid youth participants of Oxford County 4-H for 2025.

• Each Exhibitor will be limited to one entry in each class.

• Exhibitors will exhibit their own projects according to the 4-H Motto “LEARN TO DO BY DOING”. Item must be made by

the 4-H youth participant only.

• If there are more than 6 entries in the class it will be split into Clover Buds (6-8), Jr. (9-14) and Sr. (15-21), with the exception of the 4-H Exhibits and the Special Class, which will be judged as an entire class with no divisions.

• Exhibits must be worthy to be awarded prize money at the discretion of the judge.

• Entries must be at the fairgrounds between 8am and 11am Thursday August 21, 2025, and must be removed between 2:00pm and 2:30pm on Monday August 25, 2025.

Woodstock Fair Theme: “Family A’Fair”

Oxford County 4-H Association Special Class

Create three different thank you cards for 4-H, leave inside blank, no larger than 4” x 6”. 

Include on the cover something representing 4-H. Cards will be kept to give to hosts, guests or sponsors by Oxford 4-H Prize money: 

  • 1st: $15.00
  • 2nd: $12.00
  • 3rd: $10.00
  • 4th: $8.00
  • 5th: $5.00

All remaining entries - $3.00

Class #1

4-H Exhibits (Not previously exhibited, limit of one per project per club or opportunity) These 3-sided display board exhibits are to depict club activities, projects or opportunities (e.g. Discovery Days, Youth Adventure Camp, Future Leaders in Action, Provincial Leadership Camp, GFTG)

**Prize money: 

  • 1st: $20
  • 2nd: $15
  • 3rd: $12

Colouring Page, your choice

Class #3

Any sewing project, any item made using a sewing machine, made by the exhibitor, not previously shown at the Fair.

Class #4

Safety Poster, using a full sheet of Bristol board, outline safety on any topic, examples — home, farm, animal, machinery, water, fire, not previously shown at the Fair

Class #5

Four (4) Photos promoting Fair theme “Family A’Fair”, each picture size 4” x 6”, mounted together on one black background, minimum border to be 2 cm. Pictures must be taken by exhibitor. No words or captions.

Class #6

Handmade Craft, any handmade item, except sewing, made by exhibitor, examples - woodworking, knitting, crocheting, soap etc., not previously shown at Fair.

Class #7

Paper Craft, using any paper medium made by exhibitor, examples - scrapbook page, origami, puppet, card.

Class #8

Recycled/re-purposed craft, item made from recycled/re-purposed materials, made by exhibitor, not previously shown at Fair.

Class #9

Dairy Food Dish, showcase an original recipe using at least one dairy product, with ingredient list and preparation method, a photo of the finished dish, and comments from at least two people who ate it.

Class #10

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies (Chocolate 4H project), three (3) cookies on a disposable plate in a Ziploc bag,

1 cup (250 ml) margarine

1 cup (250 ml) white sugar

1 cup (250 ml) brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp (10 ml) baking soda

1⁄2 tsp (2 ml) salt

2 1⁄4 cup (560 ml) all-purpose flour

1 1⁄2 cup (375 ml) quick oats

1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon

1 cup (250 ml) chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350oF (175oC).

Mix in large bowl margarine, sugars, eggs, baking soda and salt

Add oats and flour, then chocolate chips

Drop from spoon onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Classes #2 through to #10 prize money:

  • 1st: $12.00 
  • 2nd: $10.00 
  • 3rd: $5.00

Woodstock Agricultural Society is pleased to say that we are moving on with the times, and you may now register your entries online on Assist Expo.

Go to Assist Expo to create a new account.

Scroll to the bottom to find the "Woodstock Agricultural Society" entries.

You can still register for the holiday using paper registration forms, which are available at the office in the Oxford Auditorium, Monday through Friday, from noon to 4 p.m. Please note that you will need paper entry tags for your exhibits, regardless of how you register.
